Asserbo Table by for .
Designed in 1961 to furnish Børge Mogensen's own home in Asserbo, Denmark, the Asserbo series comprises a table and two benches; one with a fixed backrest and one with a wall-mounted backrest. The range embodies Mogensen's design approach, emphasising practicality, utility and quality over transient trends.
Inspired by the honest designs of Shaker-style furniture, the series is characterised by its rounded forms and exposed brass screws. This informal aesthetic provides the furniture with visual clarity and a strong structure, making it a timeless addition to the home.
Although initially made from pine, the range has been reissued in sustainably forested eucalyptus wood, a material chosen for its hardy qualities, which will contribute to the pieces' longevity. Alongside its charming reddish-brown colouring, the fast-growing hardwood species is distinguished by its density, calm grain and scarce knots.
The robust furniture is well suited to both commercial and residential properties.
